Twisted Metal: Black

The Twisted Metal Alliance, more commonly referred to as TMA, has everything that a site about Twisted Metal should.

It's as close to an Official website as it could be: so you're sure to find all of the most recent information regarding the game that you seek, and you're guaranteed that it's going to be credible. It's a site based on forums, so you can witness and take part in open-minded discussions of Twisted Metal-related topics. Free-will has never shown its face so fearless of opposition.

Nevertheless, it's still an Unofficial website. Even if they were mentioned in the TM:B credits... The advantage of this? They don't have to be restricted to saying pleasant things about Twisted Metal games, which means that there isn't any bias.

I've known all of this for quite a while, and I've been posting there since I first got TM:B back in 2001. Want to check it out for yourself? Feel free! Click here to visit, and browse. Also, don't forget about helpful ol' Tricho when people ask you how you found TMA... ;)

* . * . *

Anyway, although I've been told that my posts on Twisted Metal there are rather good, I've found that it's been increasingly difficult to find all of them individually when asked for a link; so I figured I'd create a little glossary of my own here.

So, without further ado, the following are links to my most significant TM-related posts at TMA:

Character-Specific Battlegrounds: A nifty concept that I thought might work well in a Twisted Metal game. Dated: 29th July, 2003. (TT Post of The Week)

Customisation V1.0: Some of my ideas for the ways that Twisted Metal could be customised in future games. Dated: 21st July, 2003.

Keeping it real... but why?: It's always amazing how much trouble game designers are willing to go through to make their product look great... without considering inclusion of gameplay to match it. Also, is there a limit to how realistic a game can be, without limiting it's fun factor? Dated: 7th July, 2003.

Designing Darktooth for a TMB sequel: Everyone claims to love Darktooth, the boss from TM2... but how would he fare in a BLACK Universe? (TT Post of The Week). Dated: 19th April, 2003.

Were TM3 and TM4 worth anything?: A controversial post, my first post at TMA. Did Incog consider TM3 and TM4 when they were preparing to design TM:B? (TT Post of The Week). Dated: 16th July, 2003.
